Can you give me a ride?

Posted on by WMYFC

Braydon approached C.J., our West Ottawa Campus Life Director, and asked if he could give him a ride home from school. It was still the middle of the school day so C.J. asked why he needed to be taken home. Braydon informed him that he had just been suspended.

C.J. spoke with the Assistant Principal and got permission to take the student home. On the way, Braydon asked C.J., "So, what's your story?"  C.J. used this opportunity to share his testimony with Braydon. He opened up about God's transformative work in his own life.

God gave us each a very unique story that He wants us to share with others. When was the last time you shared your story? Maybe it was today, maybe it was last week, or maybe you honestly can't remember. No matter how you answer, pray that God would show you opportunities He places in your life to share your story with others.

Our team has been in strategic conversations about how to reach the upcoming generation -  known as Generation Z, or "Screeners". The reason this topic is so important is because these teens are vastly different than the current generation we have been reaching. This has significant implications for how we minister to them.

YFC wants to be on the forefront of this generational shift so that we can effectively share Christ with as many students as possible. If you are interested in learning more about this upcoming generation, contact Jodie at [email protected]

See the Story tours have been attended by 93 people this fall! Thank you to everyone who has participated in these events.
