Looking for Interns
We are excited to tell you about the internship program at West Michigan Youth for Christ. Each year we select multiple candidates to join our team for a 9 month long internship. The program has encouraged individuals by providing excellent training and experience. Interns work on local campuses with a staff member and volunteers to reach out to lost kids and learn what it takes to be a ministry director.
Check out this Intern Video to learn more!
We are currently accepting applications until May and need your help! Would you be willing to share this with your ministry contacts or students/volunteers who might be interested? By spreading the word, we can be sure that everyone has the opportunity to hear about this great ministry!

Prayer and Praise
- Several WMYFC staff members just returned from a week-long training at the YFC Headquarters in Denver. Please pray they will be able to apply what they learned to their ministry sites.
- Praise God for two new staff members, Barry Dykstra (Byron Center Campus Life) and Teddy Davis (East Kentwood Campus Life)! Pray for them as they build ministry on each of their campuses.
- We hope to take 175 students/leaders to YFC Camp this summer. Please pray for kids as they begin to sign up and for the funds needed to come in. To provide a scholarship for kids to attend who cannot afford Camp, click here.
- Please pray for this time of year as students begin to turn the corner spiritually. Pray for our leaders as they engage in deeper conversations with students, both in one on one and group settings.
- Pray for "Ben" as he continues to peel back the layers of hurt and pain he is experiencing. Praise God with us that he took the first step!
- Pray for those God calls to be interns with WMYFC for the 2015-16 program
Bogeys and Birdies
Are you ready for some golf?? I mean some really GREAT golf? How about some great weather too?
On behalf of YFC Champions, I'd like to extend an invitation for you to have an amazing opportunity spending time on world class golf courses (in great weather!) while supporting YFC/USA at the same time. It's a WIN-WIN! And I've got 2 outstanding Golf Classics to present to you.
The first event is March 9-12, 2015, where you can golf in the 9th Annual Desert Golf Classic in beautiful Scottsdale, AZ - playing three of the area's premier golf courses: ASU Karsten, WE-KO-PA and McDowell Mountain.
The second event is the Torrey Pines Tournament, Sept 27-28, 2015. Located in Southern California on the Pacific Ocean, the tournament package includes a very special commemorative gifts tee package, one 18-Hole tournament round of golf on the South Course at Torrey Pines, a forecaddie (1 per foursome), a golf clinic with a special guest instructor, golf cart, and range balls. Each participant is invited to attend a Welcome Reception with refreshments & hors d'oeuvres, and dinner in the Grand Ball Room featuring YFC President, Dan Wolgemuth... and MORE!
You can register and/or access more information about these events by clicking on any of the highlighted links or pictures, or by contacting Michele Dietzman [email protected]. Remember, these golf tournaments are fabulous opportunities for you to connect with and support the ministry of Youth for Christ!
