A Sacred Moment

" I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. " John 10:9-11
Last night was a night our team will never forget. A sacred moment. During one of our final sessions, we had the chance to share the gospel. This session was a powerful one, as we had worship, testimony from Bryce and other stories of life change. God was definitely in our midst and already working before we even gathered. Leszek gave a clear presentation of what it means to follow Christ. He asked if anyone would like to follow Christ to stay after and talk with their leaders and pray with them. Many kids stayed back and took the next step in their spiritual journey. We got to witness first hand how God was moving in the hearts of so many kids.
Here are just some of the stories we heard and saw:
- A girl who was asking for prayer of healing as she was suffering from injuries from being hit by a car years ago. Her story is a profound one, and one of hope and strength. This little girl has been a gift to us this week as we have watched her worship in spite of her disabilities. God has used her to encourage us this week and we hope we have been an encouragement to her as God continues to write her story.
- Kids who have been questioning Jesus all week, finally surrendered to following him. Tears of surrender flowed freely tonight as they listened to God’s call to “Follow Me”.
- Stories of redemption from brokenness, homosexuality, and so much more were all heard tonight. What a privilege it was to be in the room as God’s spirit broke our hearts, lead kids towards confession and ultimately towards the One who Gave it all for us to have life.
- Kids asking God to be their Shepherd for the very first time.
What a night. It was fun to see our team just linger around watching, praying and crying as God moved in a mighty way. Each one of these team members brought hope and life into kids lives this week. I am definitely proud of the way each one took time to serve, love and impact kids from all over Poland. Each of team members and many others played a critical role in moving kids toward the life change that we saw tonight. God has been good to us and at work in each of our lives.
Thanks for praying, giving and encouraging our team during this incredible week. This will truly be a week that we will never forget. Last night will be one of those nights etched into our minds like no other.
Please pray for our team as we finish our last full day of camp. Today is important as we prepare many new followers of Christ to go home and live out their new faith. Pray for clarity, continued impact and for God to take hold in their life.
